The moral of the story is to not be happy about anything unless you're sure someone more responsible than you can make sure nobody less responsible than you can take it away.
Weirdly, I just now noticed that my ten-year anniversary of putting comics on Internet passed on June 14. I've been distracted. Anyway, although my updates are less clockworky and my overall attitude about things has become even more jaded, I still enjoy puttin' ink on paper the same as I did back when Clinton was President, and everybody who matters was still alive. I'm not good at benchmarks like this, honestly it feels like 50 years has passed since 1999.
It has been a pleasure of strangely agonizing proportions thus far, and I look forward to forgetting my next 10 year anniversary, when I am super-old.
