Oh. It's actually Patriot's Day, not Patriot Day. So Patriot Day is about Nine Eleven which was a terrible thing that was exploited by the Bush Administration to grant them unprecedented powers, and Patriot's Day is about the revolutionary war in which actual Patriots created freedom in the first place. How silly of me. How silly of America. At least now I know, and knowing is half the battle.
