I wish I would have taken a screencap or had any faith whatsover in the validity of my own memory but I could swear after that bridge thing the other day I saw a link on a popular news website that said something like GRAPHIC IMAGES: CLICK HERE TO SEE DEAD BODIES.
It's bad enough when you're driving down the road and come across a car accident that has just happened and you see what is either a dead girl or several smaller dead girls, you really can't tell, and you can't unsee it. Then you just kind of wander around muttering, thinking about your guts and muscles and bones for two or three months. That's bad enough. I remember when the worst thing I ever saw was a guy get killed by an alligator on Faces of Death but now that's just light viewing for everybody with an internet connection. I could probably eat while watchin that now, I'm so desensitized.
And not to demean the bridge collapse thing but didn't like 100x more people die that day from cancer or a whole truckload of easily preventable illnesses? Nothing against the whole bridge collapse, it was kind of tragic I guess but in the grand scheme of things I shouldn't end up wanting to eviscerate every person who says the word "infrastructure" should I? I guess it's a lot more cool to watch Big Things Break than the slow march of an unstoppable army of micro-organisms. What am I talking about, I don't really like people anyway.
Speaking of people, Poopmonster and I have been confirmed for the Toronto Comic Arts Festival, August 18-19 in Toronto Canada! I'm gonna try to throw together a free minibook for it but at the very least we'll have free postcards, temporaty tattoos, and we can has a couple of buckets of discontinued t-shirts.
