It's nice that your brain forgets horrible things for you like a TiVo skipping an Axe Body Spray ad. It's nice that after you get in a terrible accident, when you're laying in the hospital bed you'll say "the last thing I remember we were leaving the party." It's nice that your entire consciousness can just sidestep a horrible event, like when you're being interrogated by homicide detective and all you can say is "it was like I was outside my body+." What sucks is that everything that happens to you has in fact already happened. You just read that sentence. And that one. And here comes a moment... and there it goes. And the farther you get from it, the more it changes. Man, I've been listening to too much RadioLab (although this is technically impossible).
