The preceding is what happens when one listens to Astronomy Cast while simultaneously jonesing for some Raisin Bran. I hope it is not lost on the unknowing.It makes you wonder though, will anybody be around to see our sun turn into a red giant? What with the way the universe works, it's possible for us to actually cross paths with some other solar system sometime in the future and maybe trade off a planet or two. Odds are modern humans won't make it even close on account of constantly battling for basic necessities and plain old vanity, not to mention those oh-so-fashionable blinders that only allow most of us to see only a couple generations forward and backward.
