Weedmaster P's Job Interview

Friday, April 17, 2009 - 12:00 AM

And that's how Weedmaster P got recruited by the CIA to be an interrogator. Which, if you read the released OLC Torture Memos makes quite a bit of sense. Not sure exactly what part of this whole thing is more disturbing -- that the government did something it knew was illegal, that we've punished people for doing, in the name of "Patriotism" or whatever, or that the tactics they used on people (who were suspects, and could've been you) are basically fraternity hazing procedures. I've said before how disappointed I am in the lack of innovation involved in sketchy tactics.

I mean, read the memos. They were authorized and instructed on how to put bugs in boxes with dudes, to try to get information from them. The right-wingers will tell you this was effective because we haven't been attacked again, yet, over here. Do you know what that sound is? That is the sound of terrible logic, my friend. I also started picking my nose with left hand after 9/11, and we haven't been attacked again. And putting bugs in boxes with dudes and picking my nose with my left hand have both been equally as effective at catching Osama bin Laden.

All I know is this crap happened under the watch of a non-Right wing administration people would be in jail or worse. But since it happened under the watch of people who have absolutly no problem justifying things with gut feelings, hypotheticals, and Divine Influence, whatever. I say prosecute. Illegal is illegal.
