It's a Trap

Monday, August 17, 2009 - 12:00 AM

pug pug It is said that when a dreamcatcher catches a dream you have to hold it underwater for five minutes, and the dream will come true. It is said that in the 1300s, a man Eli Dreamcatcher was trying to make a device for catching the giant, bird-sized mosquitoes that used to plague America. When he woke the next morning he was shocked to find a dream wrigging around in the netting. So freaked out was Eli that he grabbed the dream and ran to the swimming pool to wash all the mosquito guts off of it, but tripped on a pool toy and bumped his head on the edge of the pool, and the hand that was holding the dream went into the water.

Now when most people are knocked unconscious their hands relax, but old Eli had a condition where whenever he got knocked out he would make fists. Dreams aren't strong enough to get out of a tightly-closed hand. Eli was unconscious for exactly five minutes, and now this comic makes a 25% more sense than "Lady in the Water".
